Members of staff of the police service commission (PSC),on Wednesday asked President Bola Tinubu to sack the Inspector-General of Police,Kayode Egbetokun with immediate effect over the rift between the commission and the police high command.
Speaking under the aegis of the joint union congress of the commission the members of staff said the call became imperative because the IGP had caused confusion for the President from his recent reaction to the latest recruitment of Police constables.
In an interviewed with news men In abuja the chairman of the union,Mr.Adoyi Adoyi,argued the IGP’s action of capable causing chaos,which he said was against his profession.
The union leader also alleged that some elements within the police attempted to smuggle 1,000 names into the recruitment list.he discribed the allegations leveled by the IGP against the commission as false,unfounded and spurious.
