Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appointed Honourable Imran Usman Jibrin, as substantive Director General of the newly established Nasarawa State Social Investment Agency (NSSIA).

The appointment was contained in a letter issued to Imran dated October 31st, 2023, with effect from October 15, 2023.

Before his recent appointment, Imran was the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor on Humanitarian Services/Focal Person National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).

The new DG is the son of late military Governor of Kaduna State, Group Captain Usman Jibrin of blessed memory.

Imran hails from Nasarawa Local Government of the state.

It could be recalled that, just before his election, he has solicited for continuing cooperation from security agencies as the State government is set to commence the 2nd phase of the Nasarawa State Cash Transfer Programme, whose number of beneficiaries has been increased from 3800 to 6000 and the stipends increased from N5,000 to N7,000 monthly, for a duration of 24 months.” He said.

Honourable Imran Usman Jibrin stressed that the programme is for people at the bottom of the economic pyramid, poor and vulnerable in the society.
